Environmental, Social & Governance Statement

Green Loop Global ESG statement

Green Loop Global designs and supplies circular furniture and display systems for commercial spaces, built for repeat use, long service life and clear end-of-life pathways. We focus on real decisions and real data, and we share progress as it improves. This statement sets out how environmental, social and governance thinking is built into the way we design, source and support our products. It is a living document; figures are current as at June 2026 and cover our range of 266 products.

What we measure

We measure carbon, we do not estimate. Every product in our 266-product range carries a real Planet Price and a carbon figure.

  • Carbon figure: all 266 of 266 products. 74 are externally assessed LCAs (cradle-to-gate CO2e, A1-A3); where no LCA exists, a Planet Price carbon figure is used.
  • Planet Price: all 266 of 266 products.
  • Recycled content: 57% of the range.
  • FSC-certified timber: 100% of our timber (92 products).
  • Recycled-fabric upholstery: 96% (68 of 71 pieces).
  • Agri-fibre: 19% of the range (51 products).

Environmental

Circular design is built into how we develop products and systems.

Buy once, built to last. Designed for repeat install, transport and reconfiguration, with a standard three-year commercial warranty.

Reuse for good. Replaceable skins, finishes and tabletops keep the structure, and the investment, in use.

End-of-life pathways. Every product carries a suggested pathway: repair, refurbishment, repurposing, reuse, recycling or take-back. Repurposing is our preferred route, and disposal is the last step.

Replaceable skins and materials for re-skin and reuse

Materials. We choose materials for long-life performance and practical recovery. Across the range, 57% of products carry recycled content, running up to 100% on many. Upholstery is 100% recycled polyester; cabinet and plinth frames are around 95% recycled aluminium with agri-fibre strawboard (Grano) or 100% recycled HDPE (Replene) tops and recycled-polyester skins; moulded seating uses recycled-polypropylene shells, selected ones at 80% post-consumer content.

Carbon metrics. All 266 products carry a carbon figure and a Planet Price. For 74 of them, externally assessed life-cycle data is confirmed, so the carbon figure is an LCA (CO2e, A1-A3, One Click LCA with ecoinvent). For the rest, a Planet Price carbon figure is used where no LCA exists. The Planet Price goes beyond carbon, capturing a product's full footprint across carbon, water, land and pollution as a single figure, presented on its own merits rather than as a way to compare products. We distinguish measured data (LCA) from modelled results (Planet Price).

Circular design across the lifecycle

One product, a full circle: recovered plastic becomes a chair, the chair serves for years, and at end of life it is repurposed, taken back and recovered into new material. (See the circular-loop graphic and the 9 Rs of Circularity, from the most preferred, refuse, to the last resort, recycle.)

Social: People Matter

We only work with manufacturing partners whose facilities we have personally inspected, and who can show documented training, clear health-and-safety practices and consistent quality controls. We build long-term relationships and review performance as we scale. Our products are safe, durable and practical across repeated use, with a standard three-year commercial warranty across the range.

Governance

Sustainability statements are tied to product decisions and evidence.

  • We distinguish measured data (assessed life-cycle data) from modelled results (Planet Price).
  • We do not overclaim: where a certificate or dataset is not yet in hand, we say so and hold the claim until it is.

Certifications & memberships

  • ISO 9001 and ISO 14001: Quality and Environmental Management Systems, held by Green Loop Global.
  • Recycled materials: every recycled material is independently certified to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), audited by accredited third-party bodies such as TUV. The one exception is Replene, our 100% recycled internal scrap, recovered and reused within the manufacturing process.
  • FSC-certified timber: 100% of our timber, across 92 products.
  • Better Stands supporter (NZCE) and ABEA member.
  • Planet Price: environmental impact is assessed using Planet Price, a Certified B Corporation (held by Planet Price, not Green Loop Global; Cira is the data and methodology provider).
