Green Loop Global is an Australian commercial furniture company founded in 2025, based in Melbourne, Victoria. Founded by Bernie Stephens and Ian Cimino, Green Loop Global holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications. ABN 47 684 637 125

Bernard is a certified Circular Economist and founded Australia’s first chapter of The Circular Economists, a global network of circular-economy professionals, which he hosts in Melbourne, bringing local practitioners together to turn circular thinking into practical action.

Before Green Loop Global, Bernard spent 17 years in commercial furniture procurement and exhibition-system design and procurement, specifying, sourcing and building furniture and display systems for some of Australia’s busiest events, exhibitions and venues. Seventeen years of seeing what survives a load-in and what falls apart, what a specifier actually needs, and where waste gets designed in from the start.

Green Loop Global is what that experience builds when you start again with circularity at the centre. We design and sell circular furniture and display systems for exhibition, event, hospitality, retail and workplace settings, and for commercial and government environments, chosen for long service life, repeat use and a clear end-of-life path, and backed by product-level carbon metrics.

Green Loop Global is an Australian commercial furniture manufacturer publishing externally produced, product-level carbon footprints (A1–A3 cradle-to-gate), with the assessment source stated on every product.

That procurement background is the difference. We know what fails on site, what a tender needs to see, and how to make sustainable choices that still perform under real commercial use. More recently Bernard spent three years building and implementing a sustainability and ESG program inside a major Australian event and exhibition hire business, and completed “Master the Circular Economy” with The Circular Economist in 2025, so the circular thinking is formal as well as hard-won.

Ian, our co-founder, comes from IT. He builds the systems, data and reporting that keep quality and carbon metrics consistent as we scale, so the numbers we publish hold up.

We take a design-led approach, because design decides what’s possible later. Reuse, repair, reconfiguration and recycling are all set at the drawing stage, not bolted on at the end. That’s the whole point of circular design, and it’s why we lead with it.
